Every playoff series is graded against the opponent faced and the league of its day. Pick a metric and a window, then click any column to re-rank.
This leaderboard ranks playoff performance after adjusting for two things that raw box scores ignore: the era a player played in and the defenses he faced. Counting stats are scaled to 75 possessions, so a fast 1980s team and a slow 2000s team are compared on equal footing, and shooting efficiency is measured against what each opponent normally allows. On Court rating shows how the team scored and defended relative to the opponent while the player was on the floor.
Use the metric and window buttons to switch between single seasons, three-year windows and five-year windows, then click any column heading to re-rank. The search box finds a player, and the minutes filter hides small samples. Some seasons rest on only a few playoff games, so a short run can look better or worse than it really was until you filter it out.
Early-era rows lack steals and blocks because those were not tracked before 1974. The full explanation of every adjustment is on the method page, and the players with a full profile are listed on the players page.
